Mobile phone operators in many parts of the world have reaped huge benefits—ranging from increased revenue to improved subscriber retention—by offering mobile value-added services. However, In India mobile value-added services are still in nascent stage.

In the age of convergence, the prominent growth driver of MVAS would be the consumers’ desire of getting more from their mobile phone. “Mobile VAS industry in India is undergoing a lot of structural changes and is poised to grow and contribute greater revenues to the telecom industry in years to come” said Mr. Joby Babu.

The session concluded with yet another student presentation on the discussed topic highlighting the challenges and Opportunities in MVAS market.
